About

I'm Matt Clarke and TechPad is my blog covering web analytics implementation.

Matt Clarke
I originally trained in freshwater biology, fish taxonomy and bioinformatics and spent a decade working at Bauer Media where I edited specialist consumer and business magazines about aquarium fish and the pet industry.

I'd always been a keen user of web analytics tools and an advocate of their benefits to editors, and my interest in the subject led to me moving from publishing to retailing so I could work with analytics full time.

I now work as an e-commerce manager in Manchester, where I manage a team of developers and content editors and use Google Analytics to help grow the business.

I'm also currently on the Econsultancy MSc in Internet Retailing at Manchester Metropolitan University and write occasionally on web analytics for Econsultancy.
